Otterview Commercial Capital is a small-business funding service in Canton, Ohio. We help Stark County, OH owners choose among working capital, term loans, lines of credit, inventory financing, equipment financing and merchant cash advances, then send the request to funding partners. Partners review each request and make their own decisions on approval, rates and terms.
What Otterview does
A funding need often starts as a problem, not a product name: a cooler failed, a contractor is paying late, or a partner wants out. Our job is to turn that situation into a clear request: the right funding type, a sensible amount, and the documents a partner will want, then to route it to partners who offer that kind of funding.
Lender or go-between: where Otterview fits
Otterview Commercial Capital is a broker for business loans and related funding, not a direct lender. The difference between a direct lender and a broker is who holds the money: a lender funds the loan from its own balance sheet and makes the decision; a broker arranges the introduction and leaves the decision to the lender. A bank is one kind of direct lender.
Working with a broker versus going straight to a bank is a trade-off. A bank offers its own products only. We can put one request in front of partners with different products, but we cannot approve anything or change a partner's terms. The how-it-works page explains each step.
What Otterview does not do
- Approve, decline or price funding; partners do that
- Promise approval, amounts or timing
- Arrange personal, mortgage, payday or startup loans
- Ask for your Social Security number on the request form
- Offer legal, tax or accounting advice
